With one operation in the Geita Region, Geita Gold Mining Ltd. (GGML) is the top gold producer in Tanzania. The company is a division of Denver, USA-based multinational gold producer AngloGold Ashanti. AGA operates in four continents over more than ten countries. About 120 kilometres from Mwanza City and 20 kilometres southeast of the closest point of Lake Victoria, the mine is located in the Lake Victoria Gold Fields of Northwestern Tanzania. The company has a supporting office in Dar es Salaam and its main headquarters and operations in Geita, about five km’ west of the rapidly expanding town. The role’s intended purpose is:

Purchase orders, reserve service entry sheets, aid work management planners, and maintenance scheduler in planning of work and scheduling of work orders raise notifications. Work orders printing and distribution, work order confirmation and technical completion, help to maintain an appropriate filling system, and compilation of reports.

Qualities:

Complete Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technician Certificate or Diploma.
A plus will be a bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering.

Experience

At least two years working in a related field or mining industry in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
Main or key accounts of responsibility:

Create, put in use, and keep a suitable filling system for record planning.
Print and distribute all scheduled work orders together with related task packages for the next week.
Get finished task orders from corresponding senior supervisors daily to fill.
Every day, close all signed-off work orders entered into the SAP system.
Create work order alerts for flaws found by means of inspection programs.
As per approved demand from end users, raise work order notifications, buy orders, and reservations in SAP.
Development of Service Entry Sheets, SES
Complete future work orders and related work packages.
Use all breakdown (urgent) manual work requests to create SAP alerts and increase reserves according to authorised requests.
Production of reports

Additional needs:

Experience with utilising a preferably SAP system CMMS.
Good written and verbal English communication techniques.
Ability to spot and document anomalies
Capacity to guide workforce on work management strategies.
Computer fluency
