Employment Goal
The chosen applicant will be the logistics partner to the Operational Readiness team, guaranteeing that the established legal framework and in-country SHERQ criteria are followed in delivering the whole scope of work for the Finished Goods Warehouse.

Particular Activities and Obligations
Technical Guidance: As the custodian, or expert, of ABFS and KSC Finished Goods Warehouse (FGW) standards and best practices, advise on technical searches from the Operational Readiness Team.

Between the Finished Goods Warehouse (FGW) and arriving and leaving flows, evaluate the interface needs to make sure design and SOPs are operationally realistic, lean, and efficient. Point out areas that need work and put them into the preparation strategy with action items to close them.

Verify that, in keeping with the established legal framework, WOLO (Warehouse Operation, Layout, and Organisation) concepts are followed throughout the development process. Through the Operational Readiness workstream, find gaps, create a budget for enhancements, rank activities, and carry them out.

Support the team in operational readiness for performance tests of the equipment, systems, and finished goods warehouse architecture. Help create and decide on tests grounded on FSCC22000 criteria.

Assessing capacity gaps and dangers, creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and scheduling training needs can help you to guarantee seamless and safe integration of people into the new infrastructure and working ways.

Agree inside ABFS/KSC and the project team on the specifications for both racking and forklifts needed, including minimum material criteria, construction, after-sales service, and functioning.

Help in interpreting the ABFS SAP plan for certain tasks connected to the implementation of the warehouse management system (WMS) in Tanzania, therefore assuring alignment with milestones in the building of the finished goods warehouse. Training in support of WMS user acceptance testing (UAT).

Sign off on the design and track the application of every IT hardware standard needed by the Finished Goods warehouse.

Create and carry out the DILO (Day in the Life of) plan for operational readiness, including organising a training program to upskill every staff member both before and following the system go-live.

Plan for CCTV, access control systems, and sourcing of all needed tenant services as you coordinate the general design, risk, and security evaluation of the new Finished Goods facility.

Experience and qualifications
Education: Either a bachelor’s in logistics, supply chain management, or another allied degree.

Event: Experience

Five years minimum of experience in project management, with particular reference to new warehouse projects or new buildings.
proven ability to inspire others, particularly third parties outside of official organisational systems.
Experience negotiating under pressure among non-affiliated parties.
Excellent operational, security, equipment, and technological problem-solving ability.
Skills and competency:

Performance-driven and results-orientated with resilience in goal attainment.
Excellent working understanding of ABFS WOLO policy and procedures.
