Principle Accountability

Contract writing and review:
Make sure contracts complement the legal and financial needs of the company.

Contractual Negotiation:

Lead and control talks with outside stakeholders to reach beneficial terms and lower risk. During contract discussions, represent an internal stakeholder point of contact.

Managing Contract Risk:

In contracts, spot and handle legal and commercial concerns. Create plans to reduce risks and clear ambiguities or contractual conflicts.

Compliance and Legal Advice:

Verify contracts follow relevant organisational policies, laws, and rules. Counsel companies on contract-related issues, including regulatory compliance from a legal standpoint.

Management of Contractual Life:

Track deadlines, renewals, and obligations in the contract management process you are implementing and supervising. Keep all contracts in one single database and guarantee accurate record-keeping.

Policy Creation and Instruction:

Create and update best practices-reflecting contract management rules, processes, and templates. For internal stakeholders, provide contract management, compliance, and negotiating strategy training courses.

Management of Stakeholders:

To answer contract-related questions, work with internal departments including procurement, sales, finance, operations, and contract administration. Mediate between the legal department and outside stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, and solicitors.

Analyses and Reporting:

For top management, prepare regular reports on contract status, important statistics, and risk assessments. Use analytics to spot contract management process improvement prospects and trends.
Excellent grasp of commercial concepts and contract law.
Superior negotiating, writing, and problem-solving ability.
Mastery of legal research systems and contract lifecycle management technologies.

Required Qualifications

LL.B., a Bachelor of Law degree from an approved university or institution.
Having a master’s degree will be a bonus as well.
Honour as High Court Advocate of the Year.
Minimal five (5) years of working experience.
Superior awareness of all kinds of legal issues concerning bank operations
Superior Kiswahili and English verbal and communication skills.
Strong litigation abilities; ability to adapt and cooperate; creative and analytical thinking to solve problems
Excellent diplomatic interpersonal skills with attention to the political, attitudinal, and emotional facets of corporate life
Very good communication and negotiating abilities
Superior capacity for making decisions
One should be able to work lengthy hours.
