Advice for implementing Restless Development
Restless Development is a non-profit worldwide project. We believe that young leaders working together have great power to change the world. Bound together by our vision for young power, we are separately registered and controlled in nine countries: India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, the UK, the USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

We run youth-led initiatives addressing the most important concerns for young people. We also oversee the Youth Collective, an expanding network of more than 5,000 local, young-led groups across 185 nations. Using the power shifting checklist, both within and outside, we are dedicated to establishing an agency that follows the standards.

Our Approach to Safeguarding Restless Development regards the welfare and protection of children, young people, and vulnerable adults as an organisational mandate with primacy over the achievement of projects or strategic objectives. We require all of our staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure we safeguard the communities in which we operate from harm and follow our Safeguarding Policy since everyone has responsibility for safeguarding.

concerning the function
The principal youth-led development agency is Restless Development. Since 1993, we have been working in Tanzania and have a remarkable record of delivering grassroots impact via youth-driven development projects compliant with the Consecutive National Development Plans of the Government of Tanzania.

Working with UNICEF, we will be starting a project aiming at closing the educational gaps and raising outcomes for disadvantaged teenagers in the Kigoma, Songwe, and Tabora Regions from January 2025 until March 2026. With an especially keen eye towards girls’ retention and empowerment, this project will remove major obstacles, including budgetary constraints, gender inequality, and poor access to basic learning materials.

The project coordinator will supervise the project team, monitor the execution of project activities, guarantee congruence with project goals, and so enable stakeholder involvement. In addition to monitoring budgets and ensuring financial compliance, the project coordinator will oversee seminars on capacity-building, training material development, data collection, and reporting. To guarantee general project effectiveness, the Coordinator will also create partnerships, improve program visibility, and assist monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
