JOB Title: Supply Chain Officer
Leader in Direct Reports: Logistic Team
Location: Lindi, LIWALE
Main Objective
In order to guarantee the best running of the mission, organise and manage the daily supply chain activities and the teams linked in the coordination or project level according to MSF procedures and standards.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Monitoring and planning the daily operations of the supply chain team to guarantee they carry out tasks related to their positions.
· In coordination or at the project level, being in charge of the order, purchase, stock and freight management, monitoring and guaranteeing an effective application of the general daily supply chain activities
· Ensuring respect of the applied supply processes and a seamless running of the supply management by means of suggested changes when necessary.
o In order to ensure the availability and coherence of supply data, one should be in charge of the supply database and correct filing and archiving of the supply paperwork.
· Keeping clients current on their orders status (BO confirmation), giving procurement and transportation top priority based on their demands
collecting claims from the field, investigating causes, then acting with corrections.
o Under his/her responsibility, supervising the related processes (recruitment, training/induction, briefing/debriefing, evaluation, potential detection, development, and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required in coordination with the HR department and with respect to the Supply Supervisor (if any).
o Informing the Logistics Team Leader in case of any significant problem and drawing up all necessary reporting, so maintaining current and trustworthy information that will support decision-making.
o Doing any other work within his/her purview under direction from supervision and in line with the objectives of the mission
o Verify and suggest local market assessments for the Lindi area.
o Clearly define, evaluate, and choose validation sources for suppliers.
Update and follow-up for the prices using validated vendors.
Track and save every paper for the supply operations.

Since 1993, MSF has been sporadically helping MOH in Tanzania in a range of sectors, most notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics like cholera, malaria, and HIV/AIDS. Beginning in May 2015, MSF’s most recent intervention in the nation responded with an emergency to a cholera outbreak impacting the host community as well as the refugee population in Kigoma. MSF enlarged medical and water/sanitary operations to all three refugee camps in the area during the emergency phase.
Officially starting in December 2022, the Liwale project is an integrated initiative assisting MoH in community-based primary and secondary health care for mothers and children under five. Currently supporting seven health facilities—four secondary health care facilities (one district hospital, three health centres) where CEmONC is offered and three primary health facilities where BEmONC is administered—is MSF. This support includes medical supplies, team empowerment (training, team management, quality of service enhancement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations, and facilitation of recruitment of 102 health care workers, including 50 community health care workers.
Minimum Educational Requirement:
Essential: degree in supply chain or logistically related qualification
Knowledge:
Essential: lately at least two years of knowledge in organisation of supply administration and supply chain management.
Desirable proven expertise of MSF Field Logistics (generic knowledge of MSF equipment and kits)
Knowledge:
