Established especially to help the hiring process of staff members to the Public Service, the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRs) is a government agency with a status of independent Department. Section 29(1) of Act No. 18 of 2007 changed Public Service Act No. 8 0f 2002 to create the organ. Our goal is to become a regional Centre of Excellence in Public Service.
Our goal is to advise companies on employment-related issues and engage Public servants using contemporary methods by following standards of equity, openness and merits. Human resource is an ankle and a major determinant of public service delivery; hence, PSRS has been assigned a responsibility of recruiting public servants in fair, transparent, and timely manner; meanwhile, observing and guaranteeing quality and access to all applicants helps to deliver equitable Service in Tanzania. Our policies and norms guide us to improve government public service on matters related to recruiting process and concurrently strengthen good relations with our stakeholders. The organ works as an equal opportunity employer.
