Incorporated in Tanzania under the Companies Act, No. 12 of 2002, the Heritage Insurance Company Tanzania Limited, “Heritage,” is a limited liability company. On June 18, 1998, the company registered under Insurance Act No. 18 of 1996 as a general insurance company.

Owned 60%, The Heritage Insurance Company Tanzania Limited is a subsidiary of The Heritage Insurance Kenya Limited. With the remaining 40% ownership, MAC Group is a local shareholder of the company. Owning Heritage Kenya through Liberty Kenya Holding, The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is the ultimate parent business.

With a fully qualified team to provide complete risk management services, Heritage is a major player in the Tanzanian insurance scene, offering thorough non-life insurance products that protect individuals, families, and businesses (both corporate and retail) against the uncertainty of life.
