Development of the Micro SMEs and Agribusiness Business Portfolio and Deposits Based on Branch Initiatives and Support of Business Activities

Description of the Vacancy Position

Branch targets for a growing quality loan portfolio

  • Product Procedure Manuals guide on onboarding qualified borrowing clients.
  • Follow-up on pipelines and sales guarantees maturity within specified timescale.
  • Find, investigate, and negotiate commercial (loan) prospects with clients both old and new.
  • Interacting with both internal and outside corporate stakeholders to guarantee appropriate presentation and protection of Bank interests.

Underwriting of credit functions

  • Accept and check credit applications to guarantee compliance with authorised checklist of necessary documentation.
  • Work with members of the Credit Risk Committee to make sure qualified consumers visit to confirm the information supplied, business and collaterals given.
  • Micro-SME and Agribusiness credit applications are assessed (by creditworthiness determined by Product Procedure Manuals) in line with Bank financing in-line.
  • Review, evaluate, and consider all credit applications sent to Headquarters for approval (as per Product Procedure). Credit Risk Committee Working with Credit Risk Committee, attend to all questions or concerns brought up by Headquarters (Retail credit/business) without sacrificing process.

Portfolio Management for Loan Calls

  • Verify authorised loans follow accepted terms and conditions.
  • Make sure post-disbursement business visits validate fund use and report/take required action when variation happens.
  • Make sure consumers follow Bank policies and create reports as advised.
  • Make sure every accepted credit application document at the branch is properly recorded and kept.
  • Help qualified current facilities to timely renew and refinkel.
  • Examine loan portfolio and suggest suitable measures to guarantee it targets and performs in line with agreed performance criteria.
  • Help branch to create and carry out recovery or turnabout plans meant to raise loan portfolio quality. Any responsibility given by the supervisor?

Cross-selling and deposit mobilisation

  • Organise funds from both new and existing Micro-SME and Agribusiness clients
  • Cross marketing of Bank’s current and newly launched goods and services Support Liaison between internal and outside players.
  • Any task assigned by the supervisor.

Capacity enhancement

  • Mass marketing and training with clients—potential and actual—
  • Organise products awareness campaigns for branches or outside clients.

Relationship control and advisory role

  • Establish and preserve commercial ties on behalf of the Bank amongst clients.
  • Client adviser on several loan or business needs and creates appropriate credit structure.

Att attendance and reporting

  • As directed by authority, compulsory attendance at Credit Risk Committee, Loan delinquency and collection meetings etc.
  • Getting ready and turning in any report—regular periodic reports or otherwise mandated by management.
  • Any responsibility given by the supervisor.

Education and Experience Needed

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Agri-business, accounting, finance, economics, marketing, and any other relevant discipline having Micro SME & Agribusiness Industry experience.
  • Minimum three years of Micro SMEs and Agribusiness Lending

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degrees and advanced diplomas in business, commerce, management studies, Junior has a commercial perspective; he meets some of the criteria but would need further work. Customer Excellence – Service Delivery (Meets all of the criteria); Digital familiarity (Meets all of the criteria); Good basic communication meets all the criteria. Experience in a similar surroundings; openness to change (Meets some of the criteria and would need additional development); product and/or service knowledge (Meets all of the criteria); Sales Management: Needs more improvement yet meets some of the criteria.
