HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION Directorate
Title: Driver, 1 Post
Reports to: Directorate of Human Resource Management and Administration (DHRMA), Director
SJUT Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma Duty Station
Job Summary:
Driving University vehicles and other tasks related to office transportation. coordinating transport and logistics efforts with the Head Driver/Transport Officer.
Qualifications:
Holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) [Form Four Certificate] with passes in English or an equivalent qualification and Kiswahili.
an experienced driver having a long background in running institutional vehicles.
Must have at least two (2) years of working experience and a current Class C driving license.
One further benefit would be possession of a Trade Test Grade II/Drivers Grade II Certificate from reputable companies like NIT or VETA.
Main obligations and duties:
As ordered, safely run university vehicles to move staff members, students, tools, and supplies to and from specified sites.
Keep records in logbooks.
Store the tools and vehicle as well as any given materials.
Keep your behaviour under control and act appropriately while providing services.
Keep tools and the car clean.
Minor mechanical repairs are something you do.
Tell right once any flaws or issues found in the car.
Execute messengerial tasks, including letter or document distribution, mail gathering, and any other assigned responsibility by a competent authority.
Pay scale:
Staff pay follows SJUT Scheme of Service’s order.
Four (4) year fixed-term contract with renewal on good performance.
