Our goal is to have a committed HR officer oversee and assist ALAF Limited’s HR operations and services. The effective execution of HR transactional services given to employees and corporate operations depends on this full-time employment. Managing employee services, supervising recruitment and placement, keeping HR records, and guaranteeing the seamless running of HR operations depend on the HR officer in great importance. The HR Officer will also assist the company’s more general HR projects and help to create a healthy work environment by answering to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).
Important Accountability: Employee Services
Follow Safety Guidelines: Verify across the company adherence to Security, Health, Safety, and Environmental (SHE) policies. Guaranteeing conformity to these rules helps to protect employees’ welfare.
Log of Employee Services Track all employee service requests and guarantee quick follow-up and resolution by keeping a thorough employee services journal.
Legal Regulation Compliance: Make sure the business follows OSHA, NHIF, NSSF, and WCF rules. Make sure the business follows any legislative developments since they affect you.
Track and answer exceptional employee questions and concerns to guarantee that the answers satisfy the intended timeframes and employees are happy with the solutions.
Budget Management: Control the HR service delivery in line with the assigned budget to guarantee economical and effective delivery of services.
Information Support: Respond to questions from both staff members and outside stakeholders to assist main HR operations.
System and Process Support: Make sure the required systems and procedures are in place to provide HR services of excellence. Review systems constantly for quality and efficiency.
Process Improvement: Point out areas where HR procedures might be simplified or strengthened to increase effectiveness. Apply improvements to maximise the delivery of services.
Manage outside HR service providers, such as HR consultants, to make sure they satisfy specified service standards and that every service is given on schedule and within budget.
When answering questions and demands from staff members and stakeholders, make sure you give customer service top priority. Always aim to surpass expectations in service delivery. Recruitment and Placing:
Management of recruitment processes: Oversaw all recruitment-related services, including creating job descriptions, advertising openings, and handling the hiring process in line with corporate HR policy and regulatory obligations.
Make sure new employees go through a comprehensive induction and onboarding program so they may become acquainted with the operating policies and corporate culture.
Create and keep up a shared application database and tracking system to guarantee effective processing of every candidate.
Monitoring and promptly reporting recruitment timetables, probationary periods, and other deadlines helps for this.
Actively support HR activities by means of the HR Information System (HRIS), therefore addressing records management and time and attendance. Create reports, enter and amend staff data, answer questions.
Process time and attendance data help to guarantee the integrity and correctness of reports utilised in payroll processing.
Make sure the HR system’s employee records—including personal information, job history, and remuneration details—are accurate and properly managed.
Reward management, compensation, and recognition:
Verify that the company’s pay structure—which comprises job grades and reward systems—is in line with its policies.
Coordinate employee satisfaction polls with compensation surveys to guarantee the application of results, thereby enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Reporting and HR Analysis:
HR Measures and Documentation: Create thorough monthly HR reports including analysis to back up management decisions. Share observations grounded on important HR statistics and analytics.
Work with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to develop ideas for change initiatives meant to raise production and maximise the use of human capital.
Prerequisites:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Administration, or Human Resources Management.
Experience: Working as an HR officer or in a related capacity, minimum four years of experience.
Technical Skills: One benefits from experience with SAGE ERP especially.
Sound knowledge of HR rules, methods, and processes together with the capacity to apply them successfully in an organisational environment.
Perfect analytical, planning, organising, communicating, and problem-solving ability. Excellent people skills and the capacity to collaborate successfully among different teams.
