Lead Teacher (Preschool)
Job Description:
We seek an innovative and passionate lead teacher to deliver quality education to children aged 3 to 6 years in Iringa Municipality. You will design and implement programs that inspire curiosity, creativity, and learning.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute lesson plans that are relevant to Tanzanian culture and context.
- Promote children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain an organised and safe classroom environment.
- Regularly communicate with parents about their child’s progress.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in early childhood education from a recognised Tanzanian institution.
- 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably in preschool.
- Knowledge of child development milestones.
- Fluent in Kiswahili and English
General Requirements:
- Preference will be given to residents of Iringa Municipality for all roles.
- Be ready and able to perform any other relevant duties designated by a superior.
- Roles such as ICT experts and drone operators should highlight familiarity with local cultural sensitivities.
- All staff must demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.
- All staff must be conversant (as per National Guidelines for Establishment and Management of Community-Based Day Care Centres) with:
- Code of Conduct
- Basic Competencies of a Child Care Worker
- Safety and Security (including Child Protection and Safety Procedures, and Health Care and Hygiene)

This is a full-time job. Applicants are required to submit their applications via email to [email protected].
