Position: Mining Plant Manager

Seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead and supervise the mining, exploration and gold processing operations of our company on Behalf of our Client, This position calls for a professional with a mix of technical knowledge, business sense, and outstanding leadership ability. The perfect applicant will ensure the company’s viability and development by driving operational efficiency, investigating mining prospects, and preserving good contacts with stakeholders.
Roles;
- Operations control guarantees seamless daily running of the mining plant, including control of production targets, equipment, and extraction techniques. This include keeping plant efficiency, people, and handling of workflow.
- Manage and oversee plant workers, including staff development and hiring, training and improvement.
- Control costs, manage resources, guarantee the effective use of raw materials, energy and other inputs, and so monitor and manage the plant’s budget.
- Frequent monitoring of production statistics, performance indicators, and general output helps to guarantee targets are reached.
- Create thorough reports for top management covering plant performance, problems, and improvement.
- Safety and Compliance, Risk Management, Crisis and Policy Development List possible hazards, environmental and operational ones, then create backup strategies.
- Oversaw the acquisition of spare parts, tools, and raw goods under inventory control.
- Make sure that buying procedures are economical and that enough inventory levels are maintained.
- Oversaw the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure to reduce downtime and preserve high degrees of output.
A mining professional with less than ideal credentials;
- Minimum five years in a leadership capacity, minimum ten years in mining and exploration or gold processing.
- Find and evaluate fresh mining prospects, then give management practical advice.
- Strong awareness of gold processing methods and tools.
- Demonstrated capacity to prioritise reasonably priced solutions and control budgets.
- Strong leadership and people abilities to manage public relations obligations.
- Great decision-making and problem-solving skills
Suggested Characteristics:
- Work experience in Tanzania or like areas.
- Understanding of local community dynamics and regulatory systems.
- One other advantage is Swahili fluency.
