Job Description
There is a fantastic opportunity in the Manufacturing Department of Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd. For a planning manager post headquartered in Dar es Salaam, we are seeking a talented individual with the necessary training and experience in the manufacturing sector (Total Production Plan). The manufacturing director will receive direct reports from the chosen applicant.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Create short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans for your own plants and provide SPM with feedback. (Include peak stock build and yearly maintenance downtime.)

Monthly long-term planning is conducted, and capacity is checked against the volume predicted by RE. Include the year’s worth of shutdown maintenance.
Variances are handled at the quarterly review of the business plan.
Resources and timelines are reasonable.
At predetermined times, the team is informed on the business plan and any updates.

Monitor compliance to short-term (13-week) capacity plan. 

Every week, all KPIs—such as order fulfilment, produce to plan, and sales forecast accuracy—are reviewed operationally.

Keep an eye on your consumers, line usage, raw material usage, product and package quality performance objectives, and the unit performance goals’ quality needs.
Give the manufacturing manager or director input on any short-term capacity problems or departures from the predetermined midterm plan.

Checking the midterm plan’s capacity using the long-term plan
Checking capacity in relation to sales volume
Produce a Plan Accuracy report by tracking weekly execution against the production schedule. Examine the causes of any deviations.

If necessary, escalate to the director or manager of manufacturing.
If necessary, modify the plan. Monitor production trends and incorporate them into your future plans. Response to the Director or Manager of Manufacturing (Produce to Plan Report) Hold a weekly operational review meeting to discuss all KPIs, such as order fulfilment, output to plan, and sales forecast accuracy. Team Leader input is gathered. Examine and approve weekly production plans. Oversee and approve the weekly operation plan from the supply planner or planners.

Make sure the raw material days are covered as needed. Module for Production Planning and Control Coordinator Coach and train super users while responding to calls that SUs have logged.
Verify your expertise in SAP PP and that you have access to training records.
It is advised that the entire team participate in the transformation process. To address systemic issues in order to reduce expenses, minimise risk and losses, and raise productivity in accordance with standards As needed, systems and procedures are enhanced, modified, updated, and created.
The solution is used to solve other systemic issues that are comparable.
People who are relevant are involved.
Members of the unit receive coaching and empowerment to address their own situational issues.

Skills, Experience & Education
Strong leadership experience in an FMCG setting, three to five years of manufacturing planning experience, and a minimum degree in engineering, production, supply chain, or a similar discipline are required of the incumbent. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities, a proven high degree of honesty, and strong communication skills.
