Senior Officer, Administration Logistics & Procurement – Hiring Manager

Founded in Nairobi with an office in Dar es Salaam, inSupply Health is linked to JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI). Working together with public and commercial sector customers, our team of vibrant local consultants designs resilient, responsive, and optimal supply chain systems delivering necessary health items such antimalarial and HIV drugs, vaccinations, and contraceptives in challenging environments. While we co-create solutions with our clients so they may own, use, and always develop their systems independently in the long run, we also pioneer creative approaches by bringing tested commercial sector techniques to adaptable setting.

Who we search for:

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Assistant to add to our vibrant team housed in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Support of the Senior Officer, Administration Logistics & Procurement in managing and implementing procurement activities falls to the Senior Procurement Assistant. This job entails helping with sourcing, buying goods and services, keeping vendor relationships, and making sure procurement procedures are compliance with corporate policies and laws, efficient and reasonably priced.

The Perfect Prospect:

The perfect applicant should be a self-driven, meticulous, extremely motivated professional passionate about ethical sourcing, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency. Having developed tools and methods to maximise performance, control vendor relationships, and guarantee compliance, they will have a strong history in procurement. They will be crucial to our activities, supporting vendor relationships, sourcing of goods and services, and guarantees of compliance with corporate standards and regulations.

Roles:

  • Help to apply procurement plans to satisfy organisational requirements.
  • To guarantee quality and dependability, develop and keep close ties with vendors.
  • Contract Administration: Oversaw contract completion compliant with legal requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Make that every procurement activity follows pertinent organisational policies, laws, and rules.
  • Cost Control: Find and assist in projects meant to increase efficiency by saving money.
  • Maintaining correct records including contract, purchase orders, and vendor files, procurement documentation
  • Manage personnel movement plans, flight bookings, and transportation schedules in logistically coordinate.
  • Market research helps guide procurement decisions by means of market analysis.
  • Identify possible hazards and assist the application of mitigating techniques.
  • Working together with other teams will help you to grasp and meet their procurement demands.
  • Sustainability and Ethics: Encourage ethical and sustainable methods of procurement.
  • Handle extra administrative chores as asked.
  • Any other assigned work?

Competencies:

The qualified applicant should have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, supply chain management, or a closely allied discipline.
  • Professional certifications in procurement—e.g., CIPS, registered under PSPTB—or certification in progress
  • Experience: Minimum two years of work in a procurement capacity, ideally for NGOs or consulting.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics or any ERP driven by MS Dynamics is a benefit.
