National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) administers the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE). It assesses pupils’ grasp of the material and decides whether they qualify to move on to advanced education levels, such Form Five and Six or vocational training.
The fourth form examination conducted from November 11 to 29, 2024, results of which the Tanzania Examination Council (Necta) have released.
The Executive Secretary of Necta, Dr. Said Mohammed, revealed the outcomes on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

One can access the results in numerous ways:
1. Online via NECTA Website
Examining results mostly uses the NECTA website. Use these directions:
- Visit the official NECTA website at www.necta.go.tz.
- Go to the part on results.
- Visit the “Results” tab on the homepage.
- Please choose “CSEE Results.”
- Select the Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) results choice.
- Select 2024 as the Year.
- Choose 2024 to examine the most recent data.
- Look up your school or index number:
- Add the name of your school or the examination index number.
- See and download your results here.
- The screen will show the outputs. You may print or download them for reference.

2. How to access Form Four Results by SMS?
NECTA offers an SMS service to make results readily available.
- Unlock the messaging app on your phone.
- Type CSEE then your Index Number (e.g., CSEE S1234/5678/2024).
- Forward the message to the assigned NECTA shortcode (notified prior to the publication).
- Get your findings in few minutes.
3. Using school notice boards
Normally, Dar es Salaam’s schools get official copies of the results. Students can check their performance by visiting their respective institutions.
